EERA Joint Programme Smart Grids – 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆

We had the privilege to celebrate one of the most inspiring moments of the EERA Joint Programme Smart Grids initiative – recognising outstanding PhD researchers through our 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆.

The Award honours doctoral work that demonstrates exceptional quality, originality, and relevance for the advancement of smart grids and the energy transition.

– Simon Hellmann (DBFZ Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum gemeinnützige GmbH – Germany)

Their research addresses key challenges such as flexibility, resilience, cybersecurity, advanced control, and congestion management – all crucial pillars for the evolution of future power systems.

The energy transition is powered not only by technologies and markets, but by people. And yesterday, we celebrated some of the brightest researchers contributing to this effort in Europe!
